A large document with multiple sections needs page numbering of all pages consecutively from start to end (without regard to sections --chapters). I am able to number pages in sections but not the entire document. Using Insert>footer> a long list opens with all, default, first page, first convert, etc. I do not understand the choices or even if this is relevant to paginating the document. Please advise how to insert page numbers for the entire document and the meanings of the choices.

@mjjzf - I would alway split larger documents using the master document functionality. Easier and safer to handle.
