Downloading LibreOffice is slow--5% so far in 9 hours! My computer is not that slow. What can I do?

Maybe it's worth to choose another mirror manually from
http://download.documentfoundation.org/mirrors/all.html

you need to tell us the real mirror you're downloading from, so we can investigate. LibreOffice is served my more than 80 Mirrors worldwide...

So please have a look in your browser's download details and post the real URL to the file (http://download.documentfoundation.org/... is not the real url - that one just picks a mirror for you). If you encounter a slow mirror, use the "info" link on the downloadpage and choose a different mirror from the list (but still notify us about the slow one)

I have this same problem. I've downloaded hundreds of programs and never had this ridiculous situation. Must be a problem with the libreoffice site.

I'm using Firefox 12. By right mouse clicking on the item being downloaded in the "Downloads" box, I can choose "Copy link" from the popup menu. Here it is:

http://mirror.layerjet.com/tdf/libreoffice/stable/3.5.3/win/x86/LibO_3.5.3_Win_x86_install_multi.msi

This is the third time I started a download and got these kinds of numbers. I cancelled the first two. I just checked, and both of those are identical to the link pasted above. I also verified that selecting some other previous download produced a different link. I really did get layerjet.com all three times. Perhaps everyone is getting layerjet.com and that's why it's slow, it's just overloaded.

Just the same, I let this dl run all night. I am still getting between 8-10 kbps with 30 minutes to go. I have FiOS and have gotten as high as 1600 kbps when downloading.

NOTE TO OTHERS: On the LibreOffice Downloads page, in the big green button, you will see two words; (Torrent, Info). Clicking on Info will enable you to choose a mirror. I'd start there and not choose layerjet.com right now.

Hope this helps.

http://mirror.layerjet.com is going at 7kbps! But speedtest.net reports my download bandwidth at 20Mbps.

ibiblio was downloading at 33kbps but resulted in a dmg that my mac couldn't open.
