I know this can be done in Office but I can’t find the feature in this program. It is just suppose to make it better aligned and set up in a more user friendly way to read the chart.

LibreOffice’s drawing tool supports connecting lines: you can move the boxes and they auto-arrange.
If you’re looking for more complex auto-arrangement of nodes, please file an enhancement bug and provide as much information about this new feature as possible. Don’t forget to mark your bug as an ‘enhancement’. The QA team will be happy to help you triage your feature request in the bugtracker.
