I find converting Writer files from LO to MSWord very unsatisfactory. When I do this, then reopen the resulting .doc file, the formatting is messed up, even the most elementary formatting, such as bullet lists. People I send the .doc file to also complain about this.

So, what is your question? Although I doubt there are problem for such simple features as bullet lists (unless you are under MacOS), it is well known there are problems converting the international standard format of LO to the closed and buggy format from Microsoft.

As this is not a question I vote down your post, but here's my advice :

Go to the Libre Office bug-tracker and create an account.
Search for a similar bug. If there is not, fill a new one. In both cases, please send a buggy file to help developers in solving the bug.
