I received a pps file by e-mail, 4.3 MB size, I re_named to ppt, I make some little changes, font color, some words and I save it as pps file and the file size incresed to 58 MB, impossible to send by e-mail. What do I need to do to keep a pps smaller file.

Thanks

Well, I wonder whether this is a bug in LibreOffice... How big is the file when saving as an .ods file. What exactly have you changed..?

@panchotrinidad, Please feel free to file a bug about this problem if you think that there's something particularly wrong with the way that LO saves PPT files. It's possible that there's an issue in the exporter. Thanks for your help!

try to make "Save as..." At least that way helped me several times with ".doc" and ".xls" file formats. it seems that every office suite (libre and microsoft) is trying to save his own proprietary technical information and file grows very quickly. when you make "Save as..." file rewrites completely, not just corrects, and all becomes normal

I don't think LibreOffice uses any compression when saving any content within the presentation (images, video, etc.). Can you try compressiong the resulting PPT file with an archiving utility (such as 7-zip, assuming you're using Windows for example)? OpenDocument files are ZIP archives but their content is only stored, rather than compressed as I understand it.
