I suggest to separate the GUI toolkit from LibreOffice.

This would have two main advantages:

  1. Other projects can start using the GUI toolkit which gives the possibility for nearly native looking interfaces across Gnome and KDE as well as Windows and MacOSX(I am not really aware how it looks on MacOSX).
  2. Through usage of other projects improvements would be sent upstream from these projects to the toolkit. LO can benefit from that.

Vote for it if you like it :)

Please don't post such feedback in a Q&A site. It sounds like this could be more useful if posted/discussed in the developers mailing list: http://www.libreoffice.org/developers-2/

Closing as "not a question" now.
