I want to turn off auto correct, auto format, auto complete, auto predict, auto spell, auto everything. And I want to turn all these predictive functions off permanently, across all LibreOffice applications and docs. Is there a way?

Yes, I know how to do that -- but it requires making all those changes in every app. I was hoping there is a way to do it globally.

The “Tools > AutoCorrect options” menu contains all such settings. Uncheck everything if you really want no automation at all (I uncheck almost everything myself, except the replacement of straight single quotes with appropriate curly quotes and apostrophes, which is usually what one wants unless one is writing code).

You might also want to go through “Tools > Settings”, check all the menus and change anything that you find undesirable, especially in the formatting aids section.

"Tools → Options..." on Linux/Windows ;)

Oh yes of course, thank you. Actually, there are two reasons why I forgot wether the term was options or settings: 1. I am indeed on a Mac, but also 2. my UI is in French. Should remember it now! ;-)
