How to turn off auto everything, permanently?

I want to turn off auto correct, auto format, auto complete, auto predict, auto spell, auto everything. And I want to turn all these predictive functions off permanently, across all LibreOffice applications and docs. Is there a way?

The “Tools > AutoCorrect options” menu contains all such settings. Uncheck everything if you really want no automation at all (I uncheck almost everything myself, except the replacement of straight single quotes with appropriate curly quotes and apostrophes, which is usually what one wants unless one is writing code).

You might also want to go through “Tools > Settings”, check all the menus and change anything that you find undesirable, especially in the formatting aids section.

"Tools → Options..." on Linux/Windows

Oh yes of course, thank you. Actually, there are two reasons why I forgot wether the term was options or settings: 1. I am indeed on a Mac, but also 2. my UI is in French. Should remember it now!

Developers, please put this also in Tools > Options. The present UI has too many different places to do a bit of the same thing, and then users have to go elsewhere to another bit of the thing. I have switched off all other places, yet the annoying hints still popped up - until I saw this post. Thanks!

Yes, I know how to do that – but it requires making all those changes in every app. I was hoping there is a way to do it globally.

Hi @exilio, Please file an enhancement bug and provide as much information as possible. The QA team will be happy to help you triage your feature request in the bugtracker. Thanks!
