In Windows 8 any document or file that is associated with LibreOffice is considered associated with an "Unknown Application".
If you right click any file that's associated with LibreOffice, you'll see that it Opens With "Unknown Application".
This affects the latest Stable build of 3.6.4. Is there any way to correct this. You cannot associate LibreOffice any more than it is in the association manger in Windows 8.

Libreoffice should be able to be associated with a filetype on Windows 8 and not appear as an "Unknown Application". This definitely smells like a bug!
If installing the latest release doesn't seem to fix this problem, please file a bug and provide a list of steps that can reproduce your problem. The QA team will be happy to help you track down this issue!
