Font missing

I just updated LO and when I started creating a document the Papyrus font had vanished. It is possible that others are gone too as I don’t have the complete list.

I welcome any fixes and ideas on how to solve this problem.

EDIT I should add that I did searches for fonts and found nothing helpful. I don’t ask questions until I search first. Where did this nonsense about knowing nothing about LO and my OS come from? I help people all the time with tech issues and when I don’t know something I go to where people know what I am looking for and find things out the fast way. There is no need to get personal here.

There are many answered questions about it. Please search for fonts in the upper box.

@mariosv – Could you link to a specific question? When I search for ‘fonts’ I don’t see an obvious answer to @Apollo702’s problem.

@qubit1, because is easier for she/he to find if there is a right answer than for anyone who knows nothing about their OS and LibreOffice version?. And she/he can learn about font issues, while looking for an answer. I guess, not a problem a little effort from their side to find a solution.

The "papyrus.ttf" font

(installed in C:\Windows\Fonts)

is available (for me, on WinXP), e.g. via

  • Formatting toolbar → “Font Name” drop-down list
  • Menu "Format → Character → Font"

The font is not available via right-click context menu "Font"

due to → Bug 34085 - [EDITING] [UI] List of fonts incomplete in context menu.

[Checked with LibreOffice 3.3.4, 3.4.6, 3.5.7, 3.6.4, 4.0.0 RC1]

Can’t find the font on my Win7 64-bit box. Is it included in the LO installation? Bug 34085 seems fixed, I have 193 fonts installed and all show up in LO3.6.4.

@horst : “Is it included in the LO installation?” — (1) No, → papyrus.ttf isn’t included. See also → how can I get more fonts

@horst : (2) → MS Products that supply this font — BTW :wink:http://xkcd.com/590/

@horst : “Bug 34085 seems fixed,…” — Is it really a bug? OOo bug 61775 → https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=61775 has been fixed with the solution “Now only 100 (maximum) fonts will displayed.” (comment #25). — 100 fonts are displayed in my LO context menu (A… – Liberation Mono).

@manj_k My install shows all 193 fonts. I vaguely remenber that there was a limitation of registered fonts in WinXP which might have been dropped in Win7.

Addendum: Papayrus Font is installed on my Win7 32-bit laptop. MSWorks installed it which came free on this machine. Also all 190 installed fonts show up.
