How to find the version and build numbers of LibreOffice?

Hi, I’m trying to find the version and build numbers for LibreOffice that currently installed in Ubuntu 12.10. The LibreOffice has be updated since install but I don’t know what to. I tried LibreOffice help (offline) and it displays “instructions” but they are useless as the help itself only point backs to the help about help to only show the help about help (think Mobius style circular reasoning but no point).

“1. Choose Help - About LibreOffice. This opens a dialog containing information about the program.”

But “About LibreOffice” does not exist in [LibreOffice Help - LibreOffice Writer] window. There is a link saying “Version and Build Numbers” but this link only leads back to the page:

“1. Choose Help - About LibreOffice. This opens a dialog containing information about the program.”

Other links show some pages with “boxes” containing “vnd.sun.st” and a description but no working functions.

So does anyone know how to find the version of the LibreOffice installed?

When you open LibreOffice and go to Help then About LibreOffice the display panel will show the current version and build number. If you have updated LibreOffice since installing 12.10 the current not the previous build number will be displayed.

The offline help will give general advice but not your installed program version. I have three versions of LibreOffice installed, 3.5, 3.6.2 and 4.0 and each display panel shows the appropriate version and build level.

It may be that I have misunderstood the question and problem.
