I use Draw to prepare datasheets for our products. Unfortunately there are some critical bugs in the Draw programm. The document has cca 40 pages with a lot of pictures.
It happened to me for a second time that I figured out that many of the included pictures disappeared from the document and only an empty frame with the picture logo is displayed (the same as if a linked external picture is missing). All the pictures are embedded therefore they should be always included in the document.
Is this a bug?
Does anybody have a similar experience?
I do not know how to repeat this behaviour.
Which data format did you use for the pictures which got lost and did not get lost?
Which LibO version and OS are you using?
The pictures were added to the document from the clipboard.
The system is WinXP (on multiple machines) and LO 3.6.2.2
First of all, update to the latest stable LibO version. If the problem persists, you need to report a bug https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=LibreOffice with detailed description, problem file and screenshots (if available).
If the upgrade to 3.6.4 doesn’t solve the problem you can use paste special (shift+ctrl+v) and test the image format which works of works not.
Hi, i face exactly the same problem with the last version of OO for windows or linux.
As for me images are drag&dropped from png images files.
I’ve linked my working file if someone want to experiment on their setup.
Still a bug in 5.0.1.2.
I tried to report this last year, but wasn’t able to, because the bug reporting system can’t handle large files, and the bugs will be declared resolved: invalid without sample files.
