Why can't I permanently set accessibility support?

strong textLibreOffice 3.5,0 accessibility technology tools malfunction

My NVDA 2011.3 screen reader does not work in LibreOffice 3.5.0.

In LibreOffice 3.5.0 Tools > Options > Accessibility the system fails to retain my selection tick the box at Support accessibility technology tools (program restart required).

The tick box accepts the tick when I am in the accessibility interface and the accessibility interface closes when I click on okay. However, my NVDA 2011.3 screen reader does not work thereafter and when I return to the accessibility interface, I find that the tick is no longer there.

My screen reader works in all other applications on my system, such as Microsoft Office 2007 and my Windows Internet Explorer 9 web browser.

I have the following computer system:

Acer Aspire 8951G laptop with an Intel(R) Core™ i7–2630QM CPU @ 2.00 GHz and 8 GB RAM running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I have installed the following Java runtime environment: jre-7u3-windows-x64

I have installed the following Java Access Bridge: accessbridge-2_0_2-fcs-bin-b06. I performed the installation by manually copying various files into Microsoft Windows systems folders and into Java folders in accordance with instructions published on the Oracle website.

I have double checked to ensure that the files were correctly copied.

I have also uninstalled and reinstalled LibreOffice 3.5.0, but to no avail.

Kindly advise what I should do to get my NVDA 2011.3 screen reader to work in LibreOffic 3.5.0.

This sounds like a bug. Did this ever work, and fi so with what versions ? Do you know of other users that have this setup working (or that had, and with what versions ?). Please consider filing a bug: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport

Java64 doesn’t work with LibreO, only Java32 do it.

Hmmm… OP is running 64bit Win7. (1) Does he need 32bit JRE (& can both 64bit and 32bit versions be installed concurrently?), (2) Does LO have 64bit builds for Windows?

(1) Yes is needed the 32bit Java, and yes both version of Java can live together, (2) LO haven’t a 64bit version for Windows.
