Hi,
I’m trying to lay out a form in a table in Writer, i.e. to be printed for people to fill in using a pen.
So I have a table with a varying amount of columns in each row containing field titles and space for values to be completed.
However, I’m having trouble adjusting column widths on individual rows. If I select an individual row and move the mouse to the column border I get a pop-up tooltip saying “Adjust table column” but I can’t actually change the column width.
I can split cells (Table->Split Cells…->Vertically) and adjust those columns but if I inadvertently align this column with another one, they become linked and I can’t resize just that row’s column any more.
What I want is a series of rows with identical widths (i.e. the left and right border of the table is static) containing columns with individually varying widths. Is there a way to do this? Am I missing something here?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
