Take over of customizations when moving from 3.6 to 4.0

I am running currently 3.6.6.2 and consider to move to 4.0.4 in the next months. Will the installation of 4.0.4 take all the customizations (settings, icons, templates etc) made in 3.6.6.2 take over or do I need to set up all newly again?

User preferences are stored in preferences folder e.g. in Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings[user]\Application Data\LibreOffice\3 in LibreOffice 3.6.x and when installing LibreOffice 4.0.x
this directory is copied (original directory is preserved if you decide to downgrade back to 3.6) to C:\Documents and Settings[user]\Application Data\LibreOffice\4 (notice 4 at the end of path) and all files are migrated from “…\3” directory to “…\4” directory.

So you don’t need to set settings again when upgrading, they should preserve.

P.S. To make 100% sure you don’t lost anything during upgrade, I would suggest to backup current user profile from location C:\Documents and Settings[user]\Application Data\LibreOffice\3 to some save place.
