I cannot install Libre Office

When I try to install on Windows 7 it aborts telling me to close running versions. I have never had Libre Office on this computer. What is going wrong please?

Install insists that LO is already open

When installing LO in Windows it insists that I have LO open or the quick start menu. I have closed both. I also have OOo and Lotus Symphony installed but have also closed them with their quick start menus. I tried uninstalling LO and starting from scratch with no luck. Any suggestions?

The problem was due to having used Open Office
