How can I move a section in hierarchy in LibreOffice Writer?

I have created a document with sections and subsections. Here is navigation pannel where we can see list of sections in the document.

Navigation pan

Now I want to change the sequence of the sections. How can do it? I have tried doing it in the document as well as in navigation pan. But I failed.
When I select the whole section by shortcut key "ctr+a’ and move it the place where I want it to be only text moves and not the section. If I create a new section from this text which I have moved it gets placed as subsection of the previous adjacent section.
I tried to search for the solution in help section. there is no alternative suggested except this one -

I have found this answer to the same question but it is not a proper solution.

Hi - A “trick” would be to insert titles to delimit sections: apply Heading1 style at the beginning of each section & heading2 for a sub-section. Do not forget to do the same for the text between the sections.

Therefore, it is possible to use the “Promote/Demote Chapter” buttons in the navigator to move sections.

What I mean is something like this:

This is not necessarily a lot of work if the document already includes titles ?

I attach my test Document for you to test…

Note: it may be necessary to save and reload for the order of sections is updated in the navigator.

@sangharsh - Looking at your section list I strongly recommend to use @PYS ’ s recommendation. Additionally ask yourself why you want to use sections at all?

It might be good to get the Writer guides and read about sections and an outline structure using headings. You can the guides free-of-charge from http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/documentation/

If you want to move “sections” around by drag&drop on the Navigator, the “sections” will have to be headings (with Content View on). I’ve done that many times. Everything under a heading (but not subheadings) gets moved along. I’ve never had a reason to use sections as you have, and I doubt you need to. My only sections have been columns.

Note: I’m using 4.1.6.2. The newer LO’s Content View is broken. (It also has yet resolved regression bug of not opening docs with the cursor placed on the last saved position.)

I have exactly the same issue. As a writer, I often need to be able to reorganise blocks of text. Ideally this should be non-destructive (i.e. that the sections/text blocks are only rendered in a new order, but are actually unchanged within the underlying data set). This would allow me to experiment with the delivery of information. Despite the Princely One’s assertion that he doubts that I would need to do this, I absolutely would very much like to do this, and I think many writer’s who share this issue would agree.
