Hi, Qubit, thanks. I have about 100 pages on a website. Few times a day I update 5-10 of those pages. This is information for students. I write the information in LibreOffice as odt bcs that is convenient for me. Then after I write it in odt, I save it in HTML. Your suggestion would introduce another end step in my work process but look doable. Can you provide me with such a suggestion for script that would insert text in the HTML file? --thanks <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="CONTENT-TYPE" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> <title></title> <meta name="GENERATOR" content="LibreOffice 3.5 (Linux)"> <meta name="AUTHOR" content="me "> <meta name="CREATED" content="20110621;15554300"> <meta name="CHANGED" content="20130302;21163900"> //new lines inserted here: <meta http-equiv="Cache-Control" content="no-cache, no-store, must-revalidate"/> <meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache"/>

Your suggestion definitely has merit. The script will have to be rerun every time I make changes to my files. *But LibreOffice should also consider (1) not eating HTML tags inserted manually and (2) the properties editor should allow to insert HTML line of text that is more just line of text like mine. And not eat it later. BTW I wanted to give you up vote but the system does not let me (I need to be higher rank).

explanation of my workprocess

Hi, Hi Qubit, thanks. thanks for reading. I have a website with about 100 pages on a website. Few times a pages. Every day I update about 5-10 of those pages. This is pages in odt with information for students. I write the information in LibreOffice as odt bcs that is convenient for me. Then after I write it in odt, I save it in as HTML. Your suggestion would introduce another end step in my work process but look doable. Can you provide me with such (I keep the odt format for next time when I want to make changes.) Yes following save as HTML, I could run a suggestion for script that would insert text in the HTML file? --thanks <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="CONTENT-TYPE" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> <title></title> <meta name="GENERATOR" content="LibreOffice 3.5 (Linux)"> <meta name="AUTHOR" content="me "> <meta name="CREATED" content="20110621;15554300"> <meta name="CHANGED" content="20130302;21163900"> //new tags I need. It may have to do something like: if ("Cache-Control" is not in HEAD) then insert these two lines inserted here: in HEAD <meta http-equiv="Cache-Control" content="no-cache, no-store, must-revalidate"/> <meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache"/>

// Your suggestion definitely has merit. And not eat it later. Do you have a skeleton for such script that I could use? BTW I wanted to give you up vote but the system does not let me (I need to be higher rank).rank). --thanks
