That gives a completely screwed up result, unfortunately. Only part of the table is visible and there is no way to get all of it to fit the slide.


In addition to @kompilainenn I mention that his way is the right one. But you have to edit the pasted Writer table. Let me compare pasted tables from Calc and Writer.

• Calc

This table fits without problems in Impress.

• Writer

This table is "screwed up" for the first view. You have to double click on it, then the colour of the selected object handles changes from green into black. Now alter the boundaries or edit the table. When you have finished click on other part of page/slide and the altered boundaries will work. You probably have to do that as long as the result is not optimized. It is more work than pasting a Calc table.
