You can do this on Linux when installed from a package manager, but because the various LO apps are so tightly integrated (they're more like multiple modules of a single program), I would not expect you to reclaim much space.

My package manager claims between 4-30 MB per application, much less than the shared components (over 200 MB). If anything, you might remove the help files and the thesaurus, if installed. Even so, that would only add up to about 50 MB.

You might be better served by running a disk usage analyzer like Filelight (on Linux) or Windirstat (on Windows) to find things to delete that will gain you more space.
