If you're looking for an easy way to get XLA content working in LibreOffice, I'm afraid you might be out of luck. To quote the OOo forums:

An .xla file usually contains program code that is not compatible with OOo Calc. Therefore, you cannot load your add-in in Calc.

That being said, if you're gung-ho about migrating to LibreOffice, there's no particular reason why you couldn't get equivalent functionality in LO Calc -- either by using different code, or by tweaking your existing XLA code until it is compatible with LO.

How complicated are these steam tables?
