https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/148084/calc-how-do-i-insert-the-current-date-into-a-comment/?answer=148103#post-id-148103*Insert -> Date* is disabled while editing comments. So instead, do *Insert -> Date* (`Ctrl+;`) in a cell and then cut and paste into the comment.
