I'm imagining something like
4 longdiv 324 81
As it is, I'm using the | in quotes (otherwise it turns into an or) and an overline for the dividend numbers (324 in this example). The result is kind of clunky, though.

stack { 4 # {} }
stack { ")" overline 324 #
alignr 81 }
... which displays as:

As you say, "clunky."Tue, 12 Nov 2013 09:49:05 +0100https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/25109/is-there-a-nice-way-to-do-long-division-in-math/?answer=25110#post-id-25110
