https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/79938/how-to-format-cells-for-hex-numbers/?answer=79989#post-id-79989Since this is not the first request in the field and highly appreciated contributors posted answers I will try to draw their attention to [this thread in another forum](https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=79262&sid=b2377ff7bde05c93707843a494c486b2) created 13 months ago.
**Finding an answer to the question I posted there** would open a way to create solutions by user code at least to the **not so samll** complete field of questions concerning (very) special desired number formats. **This without requesting the implementation of a new feature every other day.**
(Please note that the code contained in an example attached to the mentioned post is very crude and experimental.)

https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/79938/how-to-format-cells-for-hex-numbers/?answer=79940#post-id-79940There are not such formats, but you can convert the numbers with functions like BIN2DEC, BIN2HEX, BIN2OCT, DEC2BIN, DEC2HEX, DEC2OCT, HEX2BIN,HEX2DEC, HEX2OCT, OCT2BIN, OCT2DEC, OCT2HEX. With the function wizard you can look for them easily and call the help.

https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/79938/how-to-format-cells-for-hex-numbers/?answer=79941#post-id-79941No, there are no number formats for other bases. However, you can use the spreadsheet function `BASE` for this.Wed, 19 Oct 2016 23:48:45 +0200https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/79938/how-to-format-cells-for-hex-numbers/?answer=79941#post-id-79941
