=IF(ISBLANK(D5)," ",(G5+K5)+(G5+K5)*$M$3)
Column D is units; column G is the extension of E*F (qnty*cost); column K is tax; M3 is markup rate. Not every line item, or row, have tax; so K is sometimes white space.
This formula works in Open Office, Google spreadsheets, etc. But in Libre the answer is #VALUE!
I have replaced the commas with semi-colons but the program changes them back to commas.
I have replaced the blank (" ") with "0" (without quotes) but the answer is #VALUE!
I have added parenthesis to encompass the entire third set, as in ((G5+K5)+(G5+K5)*$M$3)).
Any help here? Thanks in advance.cominusFri, 11 Jan 2019 22:29:29 +0100https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/179033/SUMIF on multiple cells if first cell ISBLANK?https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/142345/sumif-on-multiple-cells-if-first-cell-isblank/Hi,
I'm looking for the formula to have every cell that contains a specific word then add the result if the first cell of the row is Blank. So in the exemple I want to have the sum of all the apple where the first row ISBLANK
A B C D E
1 Apple 60 Orange 80
2 X Pear 50 Apple 70
3 Banana 30 Pear 25
4 X Apple 50 Banana 35
For now I have this
{=SUMIF(B1:D4,"Apple",C1:E4)}
That gives 60+70+50=180 since it doesn't look for the first blank column
But I tried multiple things like sumifs or nested if with the first column and it spreads the cells down or even worse multiple #504 errors
180
0
180

Any idea how to achieve this ?

Is it possible?wlldmTue, 19 Dec 2017 16:10:05 +0100https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/141159/ISBLANK works sometimes but not othershttps://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/133495/isblank-works-sometimes-but-not-others/ Ideally I'd like to do this: in cell G5 I have =IF(C5="","',E5*10), works only if C5 contains data, although on other sheets works fine. So I cut and paste, change formatting, etc still won't work on some sheets. I then tried =IF(ISBLANK(C5),"",E5*10) with the same result. What am I doing wrong here?oldbluejeansSun, 01 Oct 2017 14:59:15 +0200https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/133495/ISBLANK & IF or Dependent Formulahttps://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/92089/isblank-if-or-dependent-formula/Hello All,
I am looking for a combination of IF and ISBLANK.
Ideally, if a reference cell elsewhere is blank, then the formula cell should be blank, however, if it is not, then I want a simple subtraction.
This is what I have tried, but with Err:508:
=IF(ISBLANK(C2," "),C2-36)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,

It is if there isn't another way to identify all blank cells in a range, including empty ones. Any suggestions?
Note: If x is an empty cell, Type (x) produces 502 error. T(x) produces a blank (but still not one identified by isblank). Type(T(x)) produces 8. If you put T(x) into cell y, then Type(y) produces 2. I don't get the logic of this.

I'm trying to find a formula to check if within each row there is at least one blank cell.
Im using ISBLANK and OR.
If I do =OR(ISBLANK(A2),ISBLANK(B2),ISBLANK(C2)...) and it works
but since my spreadsheet get till column FF, it is a very long formula and I would like to shorten it using ranges capabilities of libreoffice.
I've tried =OR(ISBLANK(A2):ISBLANK(FF2) but got an error E:502
I've tried =ISBLANK(A2:FF2) but got always FALSE
Anyone can help?
Thanks so much
