I know that the syntax for right subscripts in LibreOffice Math is a_{b}. But this doesn't quite work when the subscript is more than one character; and the pattern of when it works/doesn't work seems strange.
For example, suppose I want S_{left}
S_{l} displays just fine
S_{le} displays as S followed by an upside down question mark
S_{lef} displays ok again
S_{left} encounters the same display error as S_{le}
It doesn't seem to be a matter of the number of characters being even/odd either. S_{r}, S_{ri}, S_{rig} and S_{righ} display fine. But S_{right} shows that upside down question mark.
What's going wrong here?J.D.Sun, 02 May 2021 14:31:31 +0200https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/307301/What is the best way to include geometry symbols like circle, arc, etc. in Formula?https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/296815/what-is-the-best-way-to-include-geometry-symbols-like-circle-arc-etc-in-formula/How do I add the routine geometry symbols like circle, arc, degrees, etc. in Writer Formula? Is there an add-on or extension for this?Proberts042Fri, 05 Mar 2021 18:01:24 +0100https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/296815/Displaying piecewise function with 3 rules on math editorhttps://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/268155/displaying-piecewise-function-with-3-rules-on-math-editor/ I am able to create a piecewise function with 2 rulesets (e.g. x when 0<=x<10, x^2 when x=10) using
> `left lbrace binom {input1}{input2} right none`
However, if I were to have a 3rd line (e.g: x^3 when x>10) the 'binom' function in the form
> `left lbrace binom {input1}{input2}{input3} right none`
doesn't work. Does this ability to add a third rule to the piecewise function even exist?ZJ ChowSun, 27 Sep 2020 08:05:01 +0200https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/268155/
