I added the chapter name to the header. It shows up correctly except for the first page of each chapter. On the first page of each chapter is shows the chapter name of the previous chapter. How do I have the current chapter name show up as the header? Thank you.
This is a limitation on Writer’s design: The header picks information from previous pages or from the very first line on the current page, any heading below that will not be considered until the next page.
If your document’s layout do not allow the heading to be on the very first line of the page, then you need to go for a workaround: footers take the right information so you can anchor a frame to the footer and move that frame to simulate the header. See this thread fore more info:
