If I click on the icon for a file all I get is the swirly thing and then nothing happens. I used the file earlier today and closed it without a problem. I can’t open the program either???
Can you please tell me what OS you use and what is the full version number you’re using (for example 5.3.3)?

Me too. When this happens I have to restart my machine and then it opens but it always brings up a small window with the following message: “LibreOffice will attempt to recover the state of the files you were working on before it crashed. Click “start” to begin the process or “discard” to cancel the recovery.” Then I click start and it tells me recovery failed and I click finish, and then it opens the doc. Pain in the proverbial. Be great if someone could help with this. I want to like this product but it’s not really usable at the mo.
