Mendeley Plugin freezes

Hi,

I am using LibreOffice 5.3.3.2, Mendeley 1.17.10, and in LO Writer, I’m not sure if it starts when I save the document, or if I copy the document, or whatnot, but starting with a blank document my citations work fine, but after one of those actions, when I put in a citation it gets frozen on “formatting citation” with no error message. If I copy the text out and paste it as unformatted text in a new document the citations will start to work again… but at 27 pages now, that’s a lot of reformatting I have to do each time it freezes… not to mention I have to redo all the citations.

Please tell me there is an easier way?

I have regularly this kind of issue and this is a real pain (libre office 6.0.3.2;mendeley 1.19.2 ) I never managed to solve it entirely
I found it can be related to the use of the tracking change.
Sometimes copying a subsection o your text (with formatting) works. It saves you the trouble to reinsert all your reference. I am considering quitting mendely because of that

The same problem here… This is very annoying and the only solution is to remove all the formatting (sic!) and add back all references.
