HDMI playback of Video in Impress

When I play a presentation with a video embedded and the computer in extend screen mode on an HDMI TV, the video shows up as designed but plays in a smaller box in the upper left hand corner. The video also flickers.

I have this problem on all the computers I’ve tried both in Windows and Linux. The only way the video plays correctly is in Windows wit the displays mirrored.

This is not a problem when the presentation is done through a SVGA projector.

How can I fix this?

Okay, it wasn’t Libreoffice and it wasn’t the computer. Well, it was sort of the computer. I had to readjust the screen resolution of the television output to the highest resolution and it worked.
