Base Report Builder two columns Report

Trying to create a report with Report Builder that has two columns with data from a Query. I can’t find anything that lets me do that. I tried making the report with the Wizard, but the two columns it created spreads one Query row across as to columns. Not what I want. I’m trying to create a tabular list. Also, is there an easier way to put the data fields in boxes other than trying to drag the vertical or horizontal line, which is difficult to make a clean look.
Thank you in advance,
Joe Castor

You may want to look at the example in the docs. Page 37 of Chapter 6 - Reports.

Also, use properties for better placement of controls, etc. There you can specify exact placement and dimensions.

Thank you again for the information. I was using the version 4 Handbook, which does not include the two column report. Given that, it will be beyond my skill level to make that work for me as I need to have the tabular sequence to go first, down the left side until the page is full, then the right side, then to the left side of page 2, and so on. I have discovered a simpler way to get my report by linking a Writer document to the query. set as 2 columns.
