For example, searching for Dr. finds words like Dry, Drummond, etc.
Check under More Options in the Search dialog and make sure Regular expressions is unchecked; if it is checked, the search is for dr followed by any one character. Yuo may also want to check Match case if you only want to find Dr. and not dr.
