LibreOffice Base 5.1.6.2
After failure to have LO Base fixed through your forum I need help on how uninstall completely LO 5.1.6.2 and install Libreoffice version that works properly with my Ubuntu.

my advice is to update Ubuntu itself ( to version 17.04 ), then your old LO version is automatically uninstalled, and you get a newer LO version that works properly with Ubuntu. That would be LO version 5.3.1.2.
LibreOffice versions obtained from distros are somewhat different from official releases. The distributors tend to offer pieces (calc, base etc.) separately which can cause (especially Base & Report Builder) problems. Other parts of the package are also modified to provide updates not normally done with LO. Normal LO updates are really a complete installation of a version.
You can delete LO with the following commands in a terminal:
sudo apt-get remove --purge libreoffice5*
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get autoremove
This should remove everything EXCEPT the User Profile. Typically you want to keep this because the next steps would be to install a newer version and you would want to keep your old settings.
Which version to install is your choice. Fresh version is latest found here .
Still version is recent but more stable found here.

Do not use TDF-provided packages with Ubuntu. Instead, use LibreOffice ppa. Adding this ppa to your Ubuntu will allow you to seamlessly update your bundled LibreOffice, and have required OS integration bits.
