In the latest update of LibreOffice, the ability to save a document or spreadsheet as a pdf or word doc is not working. A file is created, but it isn’t a pdf or word doc. And it can’t be opened by Acrobat or Miscrosoft Word. This is frustrating. I must print the document, then scan it as a pdf to have a pdf copy of it. If this isn’t corrected soon, I will have to go back to OpenOffice, although LibreOffice is better. It is just that since 5.3.4.2 came out, it is broken. Please help!
It’s interesting how people deal with logic. Well, some update made their experience worse than before. OK, notifying about that (on Bugzilla) is fine. But could someone please explain me how is that logical that one threats to go back to OpenOffice if it’s worse than the version of LibreOffice that was fine for the user, and is still available (and will always be) for download and use on our site!
I have the same version of Libre, and I can’t reproduce your problem. Exporting a file to PDF format works, and the PDF is then automatically opened correctly in Adobe Acrobat Reader. So maybe something is wrong with the file(s) that you are trying to export. Please also say what your operating system is (windows + version number, Linux, whatever).
