Testing LibreOffice

Hello,
1.Just installed the program, on my Win 10 pro pc, to test it. Installation was ok. But there are some problems so I tried to click on “help” or “online help”, any help did not open.
2. Tried the ‘Writer’ to write something like a list, in Hebrew, set keyboard to Hebrew, set to write from right to left, then started like “1” ‘point’ (like here in my question), and it wrote the ‘point’ before the “1” and when continued to write it pushed the “.1” leftward, but the text was in Hebrew. Tried several settings but it did not work.
What is wrong ?
3.Had some troubles to register to this forum, how do I login next time, and how do I know there are some answers ?
Answers will be appreciated
Thanks
Motim

Did you also download and run the appropriate installer for online-help?
“appropriate” = same version numbers, same bit-width (if Win), matching UI-language.

You need to download Help files for off-line use from the same page you’ve downloaded LO. Install it the same way you did the office suite. Same for locale settings. You may have keyboard layout set to Hebrew but do you have LO in Hebrew? What does HelpAbout say under ‘language’? Is it English? If it is, go back from where you downloaded LibreOffice and from the same page download Hebrew language pack. Install it as any other software. Restart your computer and try again.

Local settings can be changed under Tools → Options → Language settings → Languages. Set anything there is to Hebrew.

Good luck.

Hello,
Thanks for the answers. It is the first time have to install separately the “Help”, it always came built-in with a program.
Found only "help’ in English which is fine with me , and also in Hebrew, I’ll give it a try later.
But it still does not solve the problem of text writing in Hebrew, after testing I’ll make a screenshot, just show me how to post with the answer a screenshot.
Thanks
Motim

Don’t know if you can post images with your current karma points. But you didn’t mention in your comment here if you installed Hebrew localization. Do you have ‘Hebrew’ set as language under Tools → Options → Language settings → Languages? Try to download language pack from the same site you’ve downloaded off-line Help files.

Hello,
Thanks for the answer. There is only the help file in Hebrew to download, not the language package.
Please see attached screenshots cannot attach screenshots, cannot even print here any sample.
If you give me an email address I can post to you the samples so you can see what I mean.
Anyway thanks

Hello,
Installed the Hebrew help, it does not work, only the English Help.
Question: Is there an option to install LibreOffice partially, some features I do not use.
And another thing, why can’t I login with user name and password normally.
Answers will be appreciated
Thanks

To get Hebrew locale for LibreOffice you need to click ‘Need another language?’ link which will lead you to a page from where you can select Hebrew. I can’t post direct link as I don’t know which operating system are you using and the LO website tries to guess that. Link is just below that translated help file.
