The existing saved files which were created on libre office will not now open.
I just downloaded the latest version of libre office and now my files say ‘the requested operation requires elevation’.
What can you suggest?

That’s not a message of LibreOffice, it comes from Windows, and seems to appear due to some mismatch of User Account Control attributes. Some web search results suggest that the program should be run as administrator, but that does not sound sound to me and more like a screw hammered into easy help desk solutions… Anyway, I’ve no clue about Windows, ask your friendly Windows administrator expert
