Video looping in Impress not working

I am using LibreOffice 5.4.0 (although I’ve also tested this in 5.3.2) on Windows 10.

I have a LibreOffice Impress (ODP) presentation with a few videos included. I have tried adding the videos using “Insert”…“Audio or Video” and also by clicking the little Video icon that appeared in one of the content templates.

When inserting the video I have tried both “Link” mode and embed mode (“Link” not selected).

The video (in webm format) plays correctly, but if I click on the repeat button in the “Media Playback” properties view, it makes no difference: the video always stops at the end of the first run and never repeats.

Is there any way to get the videos to loop?

I have the same problem too, but I can’t upvote because I subscribed today.

I am also having this problem. One solution could be to loop your video in a video-making app, then import that much larger video. Not a real solution, just a workaround. If Repeat worked, that would be ideal.

I also have the same problem with 5.3.7.2 on Win7.
But it works well with 5.3.6.1 on Win10.

Today is Dec 06 2018.
I still have the same problem with 6.0.7.3 on Win 7. Because of this bug, I stick to 5.3.6.1 on my notebook for presentations.

File a bug report.

Video looping was working just fine with the 32 bit version of Impress on my old 32 bit laptop. I downloaded and installed the 64 bit version of LibreOffice for my new 64 bit laptop. Videos which looped just fine before now no longer loop. When will this bug be removed? Should I reinstall the 32 bit version on my 64 bit system?

I uninstalled the 64 bit version of LibreOffice on my 64 bit Windows 10 laptop. I then installed version 6.2.7.1 (x86) on my 64 bit laptop. Looping now works just fine. Hopefully this will provide some help in fixing this bug with the 64 bit version of LibreOffice.

Hello,

This is not an answer but posted as one. It should have been a comment.

Original comments suggest filing a bug. A quick search finds one was filed - tdf#106981 which is still not resolved.

Comment #7 of the bug report already mentions the 32-bit to be working:

The problem seems to be limited to the 64bit-version.

, so no, your comment most likely will provide no help.
