I download Libre Office and it would not load because and left a dialog box with the above message to download again but it still does not work. I have a 64 bit processor and am running windows 8.1 Thanks for any help
Let me answer my own question. I seems that there is a file that can be downloaded from MS. Just select the correct one out of a choice of two for your pc. Then when it has download it just copy it to your desktop and click it and it will automatically place it’s self in the correct place on your pc. Takes about two mins to do. This is known issue tdf#108580. LibreOffice bundles the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 Update 3–bit appropriate to build 32-bit or 64-bit–but depending on Windows version and patch level that may or may not install.
Work continues on the LO packaging, but affected users are advised to perform Windows updates and then install the correct MS Visual C++ 2015 Update 3 appropriate for their system and match the build of LO.
