How can I freeze rows - The instructions on "Libreoffice Help" do not work on my computer.

I followed the instructions exactly, but the column headings failed to freeze

What specifically did you do? Also please include LO version you are using and OS.

In the Title bar, click on view. A drop-down list will appear, select freeze cells. Another drop down list will appear. Select the option you wish. Of course, you will need to have the column heading selected before choosing which rows you intend to freeze. (Using Ubuntu 16.04 and LibreOffice 5.4.1.2)

Thanks, but I followed the instructions as suggested, which are identical to those on LibreOffice help. I am giving up now and will download Excel, with which I am familiar. Appreciate your interest
