Removing page numbers from Continuation notice

hi

How can i remove the pages numbers in the Continuation notice (End of the footnote/Start of next page)?
i add (=), and i want it without any numbers.

Hi @abdurrhman,

Here’s what the online docs say about Continuation notices (emphasis mine):

End of Footnote

Enter the text that you want to display when the footnotes are continued on the next page, for example, "Continued on Page ". LibreOffice Writer automatically inserts the number of the following page.

Start of next page

Enter the text that you want to display on the page where the footnotes are continued, for example, "Continued from Page ". LibreOffice Writer automatically inserts the number of the previous page.

It looks like the addition of the number is baked-in to LibreOffice. I can understand why you might want to turn off the presentation of this number, but I’m not sure that there’s an option to do so right now.

Is it possible to turn the color of this particular text to white (or whatever background color you’re using)? Maybe you can just get it to hide itself!

If that doesn’t work, I think your best bet is to file an enhancement bug and ask for a configuration option to suppress this number. Don’t forget to mark your bug as an ‘enhancement’. The QA team will be happy to help you triage your feature request in the bugtracker.

Please post a link to any bugs you file in a comment below using the format “fdo#123456”.

Thanks!
