The ECDL/ICDL is actually vendor neutral. Unfortunately most training courses and testing suites ARE for ms office.

There is no technical reason why an entity (person/company/organisation) shouldn't develop such for LibreOffice. As mentioned above does provide this at a cost but this appears to be for OpenOffice.Org

The ECDL/ICDL is actually a two part problem 1) Providing training material for the person to use either On line simulation or as a document to read and work through.

Then a testing suit would need to be developed. I haven't been able to find much in English but there appear to be options in other languages (

Hi @mbnoimi,

Good question!

I believe that The Document Foundation (TDF) has a certification program, although I haven't really interacted with that particular program myself.

More information (maybe a little older) here:

I want to teach my friends LO so I'm looking for applied courses, for that I'm asking you about LO certificate because usually all certificates have detailed course thus teaching process will be easy and they can easily do LO exam for getting the official certificate.

Until now I couldn't find any course details for LO certificate.

The current LibreOffice certification seems to be aimed at developers and trainers, rathe than users (which is the market for the ECDL/ICDL). If TDF would include the ICDL as part of their certification that would be great. (the first link above no longer works).

Finally I found OepnICDL it's not popular certificate as ICDL but at least its details clear and not ambiguous as LibreOffice certificate :(

I just checked their site, and it doesn't appear to have been updated in a while and uses 2.0. I don't think you can see current coursework without paying.
