Bought ASUS chrome book and need to use libre office
Unfortunately, to do so will require modifying Chromebook adding Linux (Ubuntu) to it.

Be aware, this is not a guaranteed solution and may in fact result in problems with your newly purchased Chromebook.
RollApp claimed that they could do it, and when I installed it with LibreOffice on my Asus Chromebook, it looked great, just like the resident program. But after a few paragraphs into my first document, the cursor went crazy flying up and down the page, then random letters spewed across lines. It was bizarre.
Does anyone have any experience in the RollApp method and thoughts on whether or not it actually works. And what could have caused the weird behavior, and what I might do to stop it?
I’ve tried rollapp for a couple of different applications and never found it to work well. I wouldn’t recommend trying it for LibreOffice either.
