I have a long document in LibreOffice Writer with images inserted in the text (they’re simple Venn diagrams). They eventually disappear from my document for no apparent reason. I reinsert them in the document, they stay for a while (several saves), then they disappear again. This always begins with “error reading image.” And then they’re gone.
Ugh! I’m seeing the same issue. Of course the document was copied to my desktop and not backed up. =(
