after updating from LO 5.2.6 to 5.3.4 all the writings disappeared, this happened in July
now i tried again updating from 5.2.6 to 5.4.2 but have the same problem.
i’m running W7HP 64bit
even menus aren’t readable.
after downgrade again to 5.2.6 files are readable again

See forum thread about it. It’s problem with older graphic cards apparently.
Options mention are: 1. update graphic card driver
2. use different graphic card if you have switchable in your machine
3. disable openGL in LibreOffice (search the internet - it’s easy)
4. downgrade do 5.2.7
5. upgrade to 5.3.7
First try to upgrade to 5.3.7. Report us if fixed.
