I have successfully designed and printed my Xmas address labels using LibreOfffice Writer for some years. This year, when I attempt the mail merge operation I only get five windows for the mailmerge and print sequence instead of the usual eight windows and the mailmerge does not complete.
I have loaded the latest version 0f LibreOffice (5.3.6) but to no effect. The only other changes that have occurred since last time are that I have 1) changed my computer and 2) upgraded to Windows 10.

You are right: since version 5.2 you only have 5 steps. The following steps have been grouped together (and are accessible) in the Mail Merge toolbar.
Check the View▸Toolbars menu if it is not automatically displayed.
