I cannot open my OpenDocument Text files that were created, as I recall, using LibreOffice writer. I can open the only WordPad file in my Documents library..

I have eight text files in my Documents library. When I double click to open any of the seven text files of the type “Open Document Text,” none of them will open. But I can open my one Word Pad file (I think this is of the type “rich text document.” I had modified some of these “Open Document Text” files just yesterday, when they were functioning normally. I’ve tried to reboot the computer, right click the files, etc., but nothing has given me access to these files. I use one of them for my job. When I double click one of these files, a bar will appear at the bottom of the screen describing the file (file name, size, etc), but the file will not open. Thanks, Rob.

It sounds like the file associations have been changed. You don’t say what OS you are using so I can only say search Google for how to reset file associations on your OS.

If it happens to be Win10, here is a link with pictures showing ways of changing default programs in Win 10.

Thanks for your reply. I’m using Windows 7 when the aforementioned problem occurs with opening LibreOffice files.
