Adding multiple tables in design view query?

Not sure if I’m doing this right, but I first created a database by connecting to an existing ODS spreadsheet which contained more than one sheet. Then I attempted to create a query in design view, but for some reason I was not able to select more than one sheet. The selection box would automatically close as soon as one was selected. I hope that as clear enough.

As I know, there is not possible set relations with spreadsheet files as source, as with text files, or even dbase files.

I think the database engine must have support for relations.

I am also experiencing this problem, but with tables that are completely within the Base .odb file.

Using the query designer’s “add table” button, the resulting dialog doesn’t let me select more than one table at a time to add. (I tried various key combos like command- and shift-click). Also, once I’ve added the first table to the query, the “add table” button in the designer is dim and not functional.

I should add that when I switch from the query designer to the SQL editor and try to add the table that way, I get a “too many tables” error when switching back to the designer.

I was not able to find this problem addressed in LO Base documentation.
