Control Click

How do I disable the control-click option in my Libre Office document? In word, apparently there is an option but that option does not seem to exist in Libre Office.

What is “control-click option”?

When i press CTRL+click in LibreOffice Writer, nothing happens.

Good find @mariosv!
only now i figured that OQ meant CTRL-click on Hyperlinks …

If OP’s question is about disabling a specific hyperlink (where @mariosv’s solution disables them all), right-click on hyperlink and choose Remove hyperlink. It will also remove markup with character style Internet Link (which can’t be simply wiped out forcing Default Style because it is a special internal markup).

After removing the hyperlink, you can restore the appearance (and only the appearance, not the effect) of the link giving it character style Internet Link. But in this context, Internet Link is considered a standard character style and can no longer be combined with another one.

To restore the link, should you regret the removal, the only way is InsertHyperlink with the menu.

Excellent, thank you. Now is there any way to remove all the hyperlinks in a document or must you systematically remove them one at a time? I tried highlighting the document but that did not give me an option to remove hyperlink.

Unfortunately, standard Edit>Find & Replace does not search on character style. You may try an extension.

My workaround is to give a bright background colour to Internet Link and remove hyperlink one at a time. Very tedious. And you mustn’t forget to remove the background when done.

Otherwise take care not inserting hyperlink when typing text, that’s easier than removing them afterwards.
