I am getting this message in Windows 10: "Unauthorised Changes Blocked; Controlled Folder Access Blocked; C:\Program...\soffice.bin from making changes to the folder %user profile%\Documents". This occurs with Calc and Write but doesn't stop me using them. I use Libre Office (X64) on Windows 10 home, version 1709, build 16299.192 Before I could get the Libre Office program to load I had to put exceptions in the Controlled Folder Access in Defender but now have the above annoyance. Any Help would be appreciated.

Thanks Mike had already been down that route but was still getting error messages.

Fixed I think. Had to disable "Controlled Folder Access" in "Virus & Threat Protection Settings within Windows Defender. Seems that it is a Microsoft Office only recognition system. Good idea but a pain in the proverbial when not applied appropriately.

I had exactly the same problem and finally stumbled on the same solution.
