How to set English as the global language?

My PC OS is Spanish which I can barely read. LO installed Spanish as the default language and I need to change it to English but since I can’t read the help file (Spanish) I don’t know how to find where to set the language to English or how to make the installation default to English.

If your OS is Windows, then you could select the only UI as English in installer, and deselect everything else btw - and you can re-run the installer to modify your installation like that at any time.

Alt+F12 will open Options dialog. Its left panel has a tree of categories. Third top-level category is Language settings; its first subcategory (Languages) has selection for the UI (topmost drop-down list). If you have installed the English UI, then you can select it there. Details how to install different UI languages depend on your OS and installation source.

A note to the developers – Can I suggest that a list of available languages might list each language in its own spelling so that it would be instantly recognizable to a person wanting that language. So a list of languages might read :
Deutsch, English, Espanol, Francais, Norsk, Russki (guessing here), etc.
(Following English convention I have capitalized them all, even though most countries don’t capitalize their own languages.)

The suggestion is an enhancement request that is not appropriate for this site; it will definitely be forgotten and ignored here. Please use bug tracker for that.

Thanks for the info, Mike. I understand.
